Students will practice pose sequences designed to help them discover how to tap into their breath. As they practice, they will naturally experience greater confidence and self-acceptance. Focus will be placed on improving balance, flexibility, coordination, and concentration. Each class will conclude with a brief guided relaxation moment. By teaching kids the techniques, we are giving them the tools they can use in daily life to find a sense of calm and well being or whenever they simply need to hit the reset button. No previous yoga experience necessary. Just bring water and a yoga mat.

DAILY PILOT CUP
By The Daily Pilot

  •    GRADES 3rd – 6th
  •    Spring
  •    FEE $10

The Pilot Cup is a Newport Mesa School District soccer tournament that was originated in 1999 by a local dad with the assistance of The Daily Pilot. This is usually the first time that students get to play competitive sports exclusively with their classmates.  It is an amazing program that builds school community and spirit.  Even if your child has never played soccer before, they will have a great time being part of the team with their classmates.

The tournament is split into several divisions: Girl 3rd/4th, Girl 5th/6th, Boy 3rd/4th, Boy 5th/6th. Each of the divisions is further split into 3 skill level groups – Gold, Silver and Bronze. Coaches are all Andersen parent volunteers. Practices are determined by the coach with their team.  This tournament is at the end of May/June each year, more information will be available in the spring of 2018.
