Makers Space** (during school hours)
Andersen’s Makerspace was created with the help and support of our Andersen DEANs. Throughout the year, all classes visit our Andersen Makerspace for design-thinking projects like pasta cars, sail cars, programming with our Dash & Dots, Bee Bots, and Ozobots, working with Little Bits circuitry kits, 3D designing and printing, and more. It is also a place where our students can come in at lunch to express the creative- and maker-side of themselves with robots, Lego wall, stop-animation, designing and building cars, Scratch coding, working with clay, paint, drawing and more. Makerspace is a place for our students to come and feel safe in trying new things, be creative, and express their innovator’s mindset. Led by Mrs. Kirsch.

Mrs. Kirsch started an after-school robotics and coding club for our kinder through third graders where they get a taste of programming using the Dash & Dot robots, Lego WeDos, Scratch, and 3D designing and printing. The hope is that this will help inspire our students to move onto and be a part of our After-School Robotics Competition Team. Check back for dates & times.
